Join us for a live performance by NCCU Choir inspired by our newest exhibition, Fever Within: The Art of Ronald Lockett.­ Their one-of-a-kind performance, with music ranging from African American spirituals to Civil Rights movement songs, will make the art come alive.

Lynne Cooke, Senior Curator, National Gallery of Art

Renowned art scholar Lynne Cooke is Senior Curator, Special Projects in Modern Art, at the National Gallery of Art, Washington. She is currently organizing an exhibition about the relationship between mainstream and self-taught artists in 20th and 21st century America. Tonight Dr. Cooke will explore the art of Ronald Lockett, as featured in Fever Within, in the context of her research on self-taught and mainstream artists.
