Supporting Art, Education, and Culture

Biz Partners Triptych

Partner Levels and Benefits | Sponsorship Opportunities

Whether as an Ackland Partner or as a sponsor of an Ackland exhibition, event, program, or publication, business and organization support is instrumental to the Museum’s success.

The Ackland is a center for research, scholarship, and creativity and a resource for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Situated in the heart of downtown near the corner of East Franklin and South Columbia Streets, the Ackland is also an active member of the economic and cultural community of Chapel Hill.

The Ackland’s exhibitions, programs, events, and publications offer businesses and corporations a creative way to meet philanthropic and community service objectives, positively impacting the communities they serve while also building brand recognition.

The operating and in-kind support provided by Ackland Partners enables the Museum both the opportunity and the ability to advance its mission while at the same time allows the Museum to design the most interesting, thought provoking, and engaging exhibitions.

In addition to the over 250 works of art from the Ackland’s collection permanently on display, the Ackland offers a dynamic schedule of K-12 education programs, family-friendly activities, special exhibitions, public lectures, and member-only events to over 55,000 Museum participants every year—a number that continues to grow steadily.

The Museum’s website received over 87,000 hits from 59,000 unique users last year. By the end of 2014, the Museum’s permanent collection of over 17,000 works of art will be available and searchable online, making images of and information about the Ackland’s collection accessible to educators, scholars, and the general public all over the world.
