A Product of Its Environment: Selected Works by the MFA Class of 2024

April 19, 2024 - May 19, 2024

A Product of Its Environment: Selected Works by the MFA Class of 2024 investigates the idea that physical surroundings, both ancestral and current, influence people’s personal identities just as much as past and present populations correspondingly shape their geographies and landscapes. The participating artists are Mark Anthony Brown Jr., Molly English, Matthew Troyer, and Vera Weinfield, this year’s graduates from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art program.

The Ackland will hold an opening public reception for the exhibition with the artists in attendance Thursday, April 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

At the same time as A Product of Its Environment, the artists will display their thesis projects at CAM Raleigh.
